The "Rose Yves Duteil" baptized in Laquenexy ...

Having a rose in his name ...
Admire the work of the gardener, who has patiently, with passion,
created in the image of his dream to see open, sharing her perfume, her
light and color with everyone, tame in its garden,
pick the eyes every morning and thank her for being so beautiful, and finally,
belong to him.
Having a rose in his name,
It's unique.
Yves
It was on June 7, the orchard of Laquenexy, near Metz, (not far from the village of my roots, Puttelange-Aux-Lakes) in Lorraine. It was a few months the idea of giving my name to a tickled pink Pascal Garbe, master gardener of the flowery paths. It has proposed several, until this little marvel of color and delicacy that has "spoken" as if we were already tame. Jean-Pierre Guillot (the "Guillot Roses," four hundred years of know-flowers, anyway) had "invented", cuddled, pampered for years and it opened one morning ("Hmmmm! I wake up just ... "). Moreover, Pascal, throughout the day, Jean-Pierre called the "Papa of the Rose." Yes it is not easy to have a rose in her name. It is a privilege and an honor, we hope keep up the gift. Our friend Michael W. Smith in the lovely little speech distributed at the beginning of the party, stung me the compliment that I assumed to be the only one who can do: dedicate this flower to my wife, and make the Christmas rose. That is, it remains for me to me to plant, to water it with friends and wait until next spring to pick this beauty which will ask its color and fragrance in the palm of our hands ... I even think now, I will feel more grown ...

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this magical moment, and if you have the opportunity to walk in Moselle, take a detour and visit the orchards of Laquenexy is an oasis of colors, flavors, fragrances and surprises (oh the forbidden garden!) you will be traveling exhibition (the garden Native American) in amazement, the little restaurant there that serves dishes accompanied by the products of the garden and will give you ideas to extend the home pleasure of the meal. Do not forget to taste the juice of apples from the garden is a real treat ...
