(Fr) agile, the adventure continues ... in Paris

In September 2008, we met Gilles and Angelo and the spectacle of Dejazet was planned for October. It was very short, and the challenge was great ... We had the time, and even if we were afraid, the working atmosphere presaged a lot of fun with the key ...
I resolved to tell the story of this concert, to make you live her creation, as we did for the writing and then recording the album, and lead you from our first steps up at the door of La Cigale , in Paris, where we will continue the adventure together.
The Cicada: the work of ants ... (I know, but this one, I do not think anyone had ever made ...)
It all started at the Archipel (Paris), where Evelyn Adam (France Bleu, La Compil ') always alert to new talent, I was asked to sponsor a (e) young artist, and sing in the second half. We wanted to present something different, to thank the public for coming to listen confidence Julie Miller , who made his first concert in Paris. We have prepared with Fabrice Ravel Chapuis, arranger "(fr) agile," a two-orchestration (guitar and keyboard) and sang the twelve songs on the album. It was the first time I tried something like that, just after recording a new album and we started tonight Winter 2007 ... Julie did a great success, and I stepped in to after him. It was a concert fragile. The name stuck. Height of the intense emotion of the evening, announced exclusively on the Blog and the association "Friends of Yves Duteil," the strategy of launching the album was found: we would make "concerts (fr) agile" throughout France, starting with "The European" April 7, 2008 in Paris. That day, the Olympic flame passed through France, and the Chinese authorities to appease public opinion on the discrepancy between words and deeds, promised a meeting with the Dalai Lama. Meeting that never took place. I started the evening on a text in solidarity with the people of Tibet ... (Chronicle May 2008 Panorama "Tibet Medal of survival")
We were looking to be on stage the color of the studio album. But this approach has limitations when we wanted to introduce the older songs that I wanted to incorporate into the show. The crucial problem is then posed: one month's Paris concert (Dejazet), everything was called into question ...
That's when Angelo arrived and Gilles ... From the first day of work at home, we felt "family" ...
It is this shared adventure that I propose to tell you from day to day, with its joys and fears, as many of you have followed through the scene, welcome behind the scenes to D-60 ...

Our history of admiration that all of us I say "We" friends of the blog may receive according to their heart, but for me started with my parents have always deserves tonight to ask me for a long time without new to say this:
The Casino de Paris, The Déjazet, the Achipel, The European rooms are that make me dream. Almost all in fact. When you dream of a path as an artist "remains innacessible provided one dream one day to fly to him" and now the Cicada.
Yes what a dream. Better yet, I had the delightful dream that your name appears on their pediment.
This dream has become reality. There may still be some aspects that I know of your great and magnificent career. But I think this is the first time you are only produced in a swirl of light with your friends the musicians?
In all the years of correspondence Yves where we had the happiness to see us in real life with Roseline and Josiane twice in 2007 and 2008 but before 2004, when you left me so happy with your words and encouragement, since our first postal letter in 1989 and now knowing that the city of Dijon is part of your story, I am happy to live there and you bringest me these little seeds of happiness
You missed the list of the artists of "Cicada" It will be great and beautiful.

Like many of us, accustomed to this blog, I'm very tempted to say the least by a Parisian escapade that would make me join other ants for far too long weaned singing our favorite cicada in the depths of their beautiful province ... But here it is: it all depends on so many parameters that I too would argue that it is time to say I'll be there!
Meanwhile, an article quite recently appeared in "Southwest" had aroused my curiosity: early December, in Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, Jean Dufour was signing his new book, finely titled "Stolen Portraits". No intention to make the trip for the occasion, I have not shopped for the least is his book, his eyes closed and with confidence knowing the character's intelligence and passion for the fine work of artists that there has long accompanied.
The least we can say is that I have not been disappointed ... of Ricet Barrier to Negro Mireille Jean Dufour we trace a portrait gallery of attractive, surprising to some, but so finely portrayed that his book devours to the speed of light. The illustrations by Jose Correa round off the set as a superb icing on the layer cake filled with tenderness, that are seemingly truthful.
I leave it to all who have the curiosity to discover this gem. Just know, you put a little more water to the mouth, the pages are devoted to Yves (I think ...) the most righteous among all the reviews posted for a long time. They are in any case closest to what I would have liked to write about it, because the text of Jean Dufour simply puts record straight, no offense to all who have so long worked hard to mock a talent they were not likely to match, lack of natural qualities of heart ...
So much for my "literary impressions" of the moment ...
For now, I just hope this time, the media will not forget to mention the maturity of "La Cigale" ... and until that pretty moment that emerges at the approach of 2010, I wish everyone a great New Year!

Oh well wish! it is almost like summer in the south ... by closing your eyes, I feel like in the Dordogne, in my grandparents ... and it reminds me that when I was a kid and I was going home, my grandmother always bought the chocolate cream (I will not mention the brand, but at the time, in advertising, you always had to get up for it ...), but the best was still the chocolate mousse in my grandfather ... mmmhhh ...

After reading this last post and your comments, we wanted to share with you, with ease, our impressions of this great adventure which, from its beginning, we feel very strongly about.
For us, the inauguration of "concerts (fr) agile held in Brussels in May 2008. There, we were able to finally discover the twelve tracks on the album. The version is simple and uncluttered. It contains most ... These songs are at once the way to our hearts!
Then, Dejazet, the hushed atmosphere, the recital becomes a spectacle to new sounds and colors.
This time, Yves is surrounded by Gilles and Angelo, two very talented musicians and creativity.
Taking advantage of unexpected harmonies, sometimes, music files on the poems, a subtle brightness ...
In the mischievous eyes of these three "big kids" reads all the complicity between them. They occupy the stage with ease and happiness increasingly perceptible, interspersing concert beads received as gifts. The show is changing every day ...
A few months later, in Verdun, then Mouscron, new surprises! the music game and still win the interpretation accuracy and authenticity. A small line sliding on the piano highlights the elusiveness of an impression, the bass sound of the bass, the weight of silence ... Nothing is left to chance: the words have found their box!
And emotion in all this?
The emotion, it's everywhere. It flows in waves from the stage to the room and flows from the room towards the stage.
The twinkling eyes of the public shared happiness, hearts are swollen with tenderness and warmth, the gorges often tied by the intensity of feelings, hands clapping and sometimes keep silence in full compliance ...
Osmosis is complete. The whole room standing embarks on the adventure!
Then, push the door of "La Cigale"! No doubt more surprises await us ...

I've been pretty absent for some time but when you have no health ... there after a bad period when it is my body which decided the hospital with heavy intervention, I am recovering slowly ... I was hoping to be Cork on Sunday, but it may be a little early and I understand that it is complete! I would be so much better thoughts with you all!
Normally I would be at the AGM next week with my daughter and I hope the cicada in February ... nothing like it to recover from hard times to see and hear Yves ...
