Silence, jewel of creation ...
July 13, 2007 by Yves Duteil
Dear friends,
My relative silence of recent weeks is far from a "dereliction of duty"! I promised to share with you the evolution of the forthcoming album, and this period was eventful ... I leaned on the desk, and I reworked most of the songs already written to refine a to a passage agreement, densify a text ... I never think I have revisited all my songs on this disc to come. And then there were meetings. For a long time, we listened to the corner of his eye the beautiful songs of Art Mengo . His records were part of our summers, our travels. "Ultramarine" on the previous album, "Embargo" on the last (Between my quotes) small wonders that we enjoy Noelle and I regularly drive on holiday, and I highly recommend you to taste ... We went to see sing at the Olympia last year. Excellent. The idea of doing a song together for this album was born naturally, still had to make it happen ... I simply sent three texts, he chose one, and we spoke by phone (this is far from Toulouse !) written by mail ... That's it, the music is made, it is beautiful. We continue to exchange to further improve the detail, the spirit of support, cutting, the guitar arpeggios ... and I am anxious to introduce you to this successful collaboration ...
Friendship with Veronique Sanson is not new. It is built around numerous and frequent exchanges over the years. She gave me her participation in the show "Acoustic Tour ', which we did together a virtual duet on" Melancholy ", between the screen and stage, and where we welcome all to the end in the picture ... I' had come to La Rochelle Francofolies participate in "The Feast at Vero" for him to sing "My neighbor," a song she had written with Violaine, his sister, and I was singing for a long time without knowing it was to it ... I wanted to offer him a long time to write a song together .... We have taken the plunge and made the music this week in his house at the waterfront, four hands on piano ... Pure bliss.
Last week, we made a two-day stopover at Michael W. Smith in Corsica and shared moments of delicious music, friendship around the guitar, piano, beautiful ... He said "this is not an invitation, it is a must! .. "And we were received with open arms and hearts ... He is currently completing his book (" Laughter and tears ... ") due out in autumn, in preparation for his new show to return to Paris.
I write, I compose, I play piano and guitar to be ready in September and start recording. Our summer will be studious and family, filled with work. The whole team is at work. This silence is buzzing with preparations, feverish and happy. A very fast with the songs ...
Yves

All that to say that I rediscovered your text, music, and I am delighted, really. It's beautiful.

While waiting for your album, I still read your articles published in Panorama. A feast every month!
Been good, and good luck.
Art Mengo, this is a removed, a wispy sounds ... The arrangements are wonderful ... His music terrifies me! With a little Duteil ... The shades go mingle, to drink like an old Armagnac!
The song duet with Veronique Sanson may not barber my binoculars on the piano! Thank you!

Glad to hear from you from time to time (the net) and see that you are preparing a new album, I like the work of a craftsman like you to practice some, I think it has much more value, but collaborations are sometimes nice.
As Capdevielle said: 'doors you well'.

Dear Yves,
The discovery of each of your albums always began far for me (after I discussed with the cellophane that will not let go) by looking in the first sentence of your little Noelle, the golden key to open the door of your heart. And then I settled down to read your texts, one by one, without music, the better to savor every word with my own sensibility, and let a little more in me grow impatient to listen.
Today I discovered an even greater pleasure: that of living with you some of your secrets, your encounters magical moments of your friendship and music. This is just fabulous. Thank you with all my heart that we can share it all.
I would be like a little mouse (with the blessing of Mozart ...) in order to follow step by step the evolution and recording of this little wonder!
And when the time comes I will tell you: "we waited so strong."
Big kisses to both.

Dear Yves,
Every moment of my life since I was 16 was rocked by your songs. You have always helped me in every difficult test. Allowed me to sing you to stand and gave me strength and courage to face adversity. What a joy to greet you at each of your concerts and share a moment of Friendship privileged. The Association also made me meet some wonderful people (Roseline, Josiane, Nelly, Christian, Leo ... I will not mention them all for fear of forgetting) with whom I enjoy talking to you of course but also my passion with you: the music. I thank God for putting you, you and Noelle on my way. Your songs have enlightened me and brought hope to continue my journey.
Noelle is your muse and his presence at your side gives you so hard that all your Love shines in your texts. I especially thank and I hug.
I can not wait for the next CD to continue to sing you to discover the words that will spring from the Hi fi chain I hasten to open upon receipt. I know it will be a delight after having heard some excerpts. Like Nelly, I'd be this little mouse to capture every moment of this hard work.
I tell you all my sincere friendship and embrace you all two very affectionately waiting for our next meeting.
Have a great holiday in Corsica to recharge before the recording sessions.
Christine
Dear Yves,
After a concert in Banneux last year (taking one of the most emotion, probably related to the site and moments of life of the time), I had the chance to meet some members of Friends of Yves and c is always with the same emotion that everyone talks about you ...
I really enjoy and returns to loop in my car "Yves Duteil air sings the words," and I sing out loud "All rights of children" and "I refuse me" ... I even added a voice, a deformation of the choir singing for many years ...
And now I may finally take the virtual pen and join these wonderful comments of this blog, beautifully made ... What a pleasure to discover the evolution of your next album ... you read between the lines and discover that your, your emotion palpable ... This album is beautiful ... like without waiting, filled with emotion, sincerity, true ...
You always answered my emails with the magic words that are in your songs. I keep them as precious possessions, encouragement, "life lines" ...
And a fan for a long time (I discovered my mum 33t there are over 15 years), I savor these answers and hope, when I have the chance to unite with the man who has chosen me I can sing one of your songs, the one that best suits me "I always missed" ...
Have a good trip and write sweet .... The words of the soul are the nicest, most genuine and those who, like the Little Prince or "Jade and the sacred mysteries of life" are "essential" ...
Schyns Valerie Herve (Belgium)
The poet has finely chiseled the words, the musician has found the right note, the artist's advance, with his work at arms length for us to offer it as a new gift.
Joy, sadness, hope, meetings, .... we want to know more, but we already know that love will be at the rendezvous.
A big breath of courage, thank you for making us share these moments of personal and intimate setting.
With much love
Daniel
Hello Yves .... it is by returning to the site NYD HOME has just been updated, I re-visit your site ... Yes, what joy to have news this way ... and the opportunity to repeat all the emotion that we have with each of your songs for so many years that we have the chance to meet you ... For Sebastian, each album recalls a specific memory. The album that listening gives us a barometer of his mood of the moment. And if we always listen to your songs with the same wonder we have so much fun to see you on the stage where more songs pierce the heart and rekindle the emotions. Thank you for sharing with us all, thank you for your friendship offered to Sebastian. Thank you to our godparents ...
Hello Yves
I count the days that separate me from the concert that you give to Herbaria in the Vendee in the month of février.164 day, it will be long, the last time was last February, still in Vendee, where I live, and c ' was so wonderful that I still have goose bumps, I listen to your songs since I was 16 years (I 48), I feel like just yesterday, I see myself still in my room, listening to "take a child" and wept bitterly because it was so beautiful, the time has passed, and I'm still loyal.
good, I still count 164 163 162 ...
see you soon
kisses
The long car trips we did in my childhood
I have never seemed very long ... I was often rocked by your songs:
"The Fairies", "Leo and Clementine," "Mary marvel," "If you want to know
how far I love you ".. etc.. What enthusiasm, what fervor in the way of loving-and the
say!, to share it! My heart, already, who flew to the beat
your melodies.
My first concert, as far as I can remember, was one of
yours.
When I have "found" it was 2 years ago .. I was struck
this time by the sweetness, calmness, maturity of these texts I
discovered in the tasting, which reflected the emotions and experiences of a 50 year old man ... became grandfather! You are in my parents' generation,
and, much like my father, I feel, an idealist and a dreamer. This
are the dreams that one strives to live, that make all the flavor of life
!
Continuez aussi longtemps que possible cette belle oeuvre créatrice;
A bientôt j'espère.
Sylvie, la québécoise.
Hello,

hello, or can you find the song and especially the score of "my neighbor" back to the guitar by yves duteil, they do not sell in trade and impossible to find on the internet, I would like to hear in deezer, nobody there ...
thank you for guiding me to satisfy my research.
Little response ...
This version of "My Neighbor" appears on the live album of Veronique Sanson "As they imagine" that includes "The Feast at Vero" presented at La Rochelle in the framework of Francofolies (in 1994 or 96?). But to my knowledge, there is no partition of my cover of "My Neighbor" ... This is probably why you can not find it, even on the internet ...
If anyone knows the tracks ...?
Friendships
Yves
Noelle goodnight, goodnight and good evening everyone Yves,
Larson, I found a score of "My Neighbor," but I do not know at all if that's what you want (and after much research, this is what I found ...)
You can see it here: http://des-etoiles-qui-savent-rire.over-blog.com/article-veronique-sanson-mon-voisin-52032124.html
Deezer, I found the version sung by Yves Francopholies at La Rochelle, 12 July 1994, but unfortunately, due to a bug between Deezer and host of my blog, there is no more (for moment) the ability to insert a music (when it is repaired, I will insert).
Good night all and kisses.
Rachel
Thank you very much, since the time I search that partition, it's been really fun ... Even if I do not have the tablature, I'll try to get by anyway ...
My impression ... When Veronica Sanson sings it, for me, this song went unnoticed, but recovery with Yves Duteil, ouahhhh As I play the guitar, it really gives the learning environment.
Thank you again
